Mitsubishi Electric vs Mitsubishi Heavy Industries
Mitsubishi Aircon Singapore frequently faces questions such as, ‘What are the differences between Mitsubishi Starmex and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries? Is Heavy Industries aircon designed more for industrial or heavy usage? Are both considered Mitsubishi aircon in Singapore?’ Notably, Mitsubishi Electric and Heavy Industries are distinct, independent companies that trace their origins back to the same founder over 100 years ago. Despite their shared roots, their air conditioner products compete with each other and find applications in normal day-to-day residential use.
One of the key distinctions in their aircon products lies in pricing, popularity, ease of maintenance, and promotional strategies. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries aircon, often referred to as MHI, stands out by offering competitive pricing and attractive promotions, setting it apart from Mitsubishi Electric. Conversely, Mitsubishi Electric excels in popularity, ease of maintenance, part availability, and reliability. To put it differently, Mitsubishi Electric manufactures superior air conditioners, securing higher sales, albeit at a higher price compared to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries
Why Choose Mitsubishi Aircon Over Cheaper OEM Brands?
When selecting an aircon, it’s essential to consider more than just the initial cost. Long-term value, performance, and durability play a significant role. That’s why Mitsubishi aircon stands out in Singapore, offering clear advantages over cheaper OEM brands.
✅ Trusted Japanese Engineering
Firstly, Mitsubishi Electric is renowned for its Japan-quality aircon systems, which are expertly designed to withstand Singapore’s humid climate. As a result, these systems provide consistent and reliable performance year after year.
✅ Thicker Cooling & Heating Fin Coils
In addition, Mitsubishi aircon units feature thicker and more durable coil fins than many cheaper OEM models. Consequently, they provide superior heat transfer efficiency, leading to enhanced cooling performance and greater durability.
✅ Handles Frequent Chemical Overhauls
Moreover, Mitsubishi aircon systems are built with premium materials that allow them to withstand more frequent chemical servicing without deterioration. This ensures long-term reliability, ultimately reducing your maintenance hassles.
✅ Longer Lifespan & Lower Maintenance Costs
Unlike cheaper alternatives that often fail within just a few years, Mitsubishi aircon units last 10 to 15 years or more. Therefore, you save significantly on replacement and repair costs in the long run.
✅ Energy Efficient with 5-Tick Rating
Furthermore, Mitsubishi units feature advanced inverter technology paired with a 5-tick energy efficiency rating, enabling you to reduce electricity bills. This level of efficiency is something many cheaper brands simply can’t provide.
✅ Quieter Operation & Better Air Quality
Not to mention, Mitsubishi aircons offer quieter operation and improved air quality, thanks to Nano Platinum Filters. These filters help create a healthier and more comfortable home environment, a feature often absent in lower-end models.
✅ Boosts Property Resale Value
By installing a Mitsubishi aircon, you not only add comfort and reliability, but you also enhance your property’s value and credibility. As a result, your home becomes more appealing to potential buyers or tenants, significantly boosting resale or rental value.
✅ Stronger Warranty & Local Support
Finally, Mitsubishi provides trusted after-sales support, with access to certified technicians and genuine spare parts across Singapore. This ensures that your investment is protected and well-maintained for years to come.
Some History
The original Mitsubishi Company, founded in 1868 in Japan by Yataro Iwasaki, paved the way for the establishment of Mitsubishi Electric in 1921. The Iwasaki family’s decision to attract investor capital led to the formation of many independent companies, including Mitsubishi Electric. Meanwhile, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, initially known as Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Co Ltd in 1934 and previously as Nagasaki Shipyard & Machinery Works, emerged as a separate entity. Since then, both independent companies, Mitsubishi Electric and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, have diversified into numerous business sectors, and air conditioners have become one of their prominent offerings. So, the next time you search for Mitsubishi Aircon Singapore on Google, keep in mind that you are actually exploring two distinct aircon brands simultaneously
