16 Things You Can Buy With Your Climate Voucher
Climate Vouchers can only be used to buy products that meet certain energy or water efficiency ratings under the CFHP. Energy-efficient products use the NEA Energy Efficiency Fund (E3F) labelling scheme, while water-efficient fittings use PUB’s Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme (WELS). Here is the complete list of 16 eligible product types as of September 2026.
Energy-Efficient Products
1. Air Conditioners (5-Tick)
The air conditioner is one of the biggest energy consumers in most Singapore homes, which makes it one of the most impactful items to upgrade with your Climate Voucher. Climate Vouchers can be used to buy an eligible 5-tick air conditioner. The unit must meet the NEA rating requirement and be a split-system model, including System 1 to System 4 configurations. Popular brands such as Daikin aircon, Mitsubishi Electric Starmex, Panasonic aircon, and Midea aircon offer eligible models.
Note:
- Most portable air conditioners and window units are not eligible, as they generally do not meet the required 5-tick NEA energy rating.

2. Refrigerators (3-Tick and Above)
Climate Vouchers can be used on refrigerators with a minimum 3-tick NEA energy rating. Wine fridges and mini coolers generally do not qualify unless they carry the required energy label, so it is always worth checking before you buy.
3. Washing Machines (4-Tick)
Both front-load and top-load washing machines are eligible under the programme, provided they carry a 4-tick NEA energy rating. Some washer-dryer combination units also qualify if they meet the required efficiency standard. If you are looking at a combo unit, confirm with the retailer or check the NEA product database to be sure.
4. Clothes Dryers (5-Tick)
Only 5-tick heat pump dryers are covered under the programme. Conventional vented dryers and condenser dryers are generally not eligible, as they use significantly more energy than heat pump models. 5. Water Heaters (5-Tick)
Selected storage and instant water heaters with a 5-tick NEA energy rating qualify for Climate Voucher redemption. 6. Direct Current (DC) Stand Fans
DC stand fans are eligible under the programme. These fans are significantly more energy efficient than conventional fans with AC motors, which are not covered. If you are replacing a fan at home, choosing a DC motor model means you will use less electricity with every hour of use.
7. Direct Current (DC) Tower Fans
DC tower fans are also eligible. Like DC stand fans, these use a more efficient motor and are a practical upgrade for living rooms or bedrooms where a ceiling fan is not practical.
8. Direct Current (DC) Ceiling Fans
DC ceiling fans qualify for Climate Voucher redemption. They are a particularly cost-effective upgrade for bedrooms and living areas, as ceiling fans with DC motors can run at lower speeds and use a fraction of the energy compared to older AC motor models.
9. LED Lights (2-Tick and Above)
You can use your Climate Vouchers to purchase LED bulbs, tubes, and downlights that carry a minimum 2-tick NEA energy rating. Traditional incandescent bulbs and fluorescent lights are not covered under the programme. LED lighting is one of the more affordable items on this list, making it a good option if you want to spread your voucher across multiple purchases.
10. Induction Stoves
If you have been thinking about upgrading your kitchen, Climate Vouchers can be redeemed on eligible induction cooktops. Gas stoves and conventional electric stoves do not qualify. Induction stoves are generally faster and more energy efficient than gas, and they are also easier to clean.
Water-Efficient Products
11. Showerheads (3-Tick and Above)
Showerheads with a minimum 3-tick PUB water efficiency rating are eligible under the programme. This rating is part of PUB’s Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme (WELS), which measures how much water a product uses per minute. Shower panels, curtain rails, and other bathroom accessories are not covered.
12. Hand Showers (3-Tick and Above)
Hand showers that carry a 3-tick WELS rating or higher are also eligible. These are often sold together with showerheads or as part of a bathroom renovation, and replacing an older hand shower with a water-efficient model can add up to meaningful savings on your water bill over time.
13. Shower Taps or Mixers (3-Tick and Above)
Shower taps and mixers with a minimum 3-tick WELS rating qualify for Climate Voucher redemption. This refers to the tap or mixing valve itself, related accessories such as shower arms or holders are not included.
14. Water Closets and Flushing Cisterns (3-Tick and Above)
Toilet bowls and flushing cisterns with a minimum 3-tick PUB water efficiency rating are eligible. Toilet seats, covers, and other add-on accessories are not covered under the programme.
15. Basin Taps or Mixers (3-Tick and Above)
For the bathroom basin, taps and mixers with a 3-tick WELS rating are eligible. Freestanding accessories such as soap dispensers and towel racks are not included.
16. Sink Taps and Bib Taps or Mixers (3-Tick)
In the kitchen, eligible products include sink taps and bib taps or mixers with a 3-tick water efficiency rating. Water filters, kitchen accessories, and other non-tap fittings are not eligible under the programme.
Important Note : Climate Vouchers can only be used on products that meet the minimum energy or water efficiency rating under the CFHP. Products that fall below the required rating, as well as services such as aircon servicing, repairs, or installation are not eligible. Climate Vouchers can only be redeemed at registered participating retailers under the Climate-Friendly Households Programme. There are currently over 150 participating retailers with more than 500 outlets across Singapore, covering major electronics chains, supermarkets, bathroom specialists, and aircon retailers.
